A spark hit the night shade as he was chasing his dreams Calm and unafraid he cast his fears to the sun Breaking up the heat that was pouring down rain Skeletons bow at his feet giving power to his reign Searching for treasure beneath the soil Not finding any reward for his unwavering toil He turns to sleep and uncontrolled gluttony Forgetting his past life of peace and tranquility A shadow cast as the perfect sight dilates to the darkest of night We lose the details of the slave as his master goes to the conclave Facial features will disappear as the beast grows older in years And as the proud grow in their fame the humble men start to fade away Begging for a pardon for the cage he built around himself Breaking the grip of his chain he finds freedom from the sane He wears his name confidently on his chest proclaiming to everyone his cleanliness Unashamed of who he is and what he’s done but too ashamed to be intimidating to anyone

This town’s scene portrays a bad memory like a cheap horror movie This isn’t Family This Isn’t Community We play our songs for a crowd that cares more about their phones than the music we have to share Two faced lying pieces of work That like to critique our hard work Come on chew us up and spit us on the floor You’ll find our taste to be unsaturated and quite a bore Dictate every song we sing Every note every melody You eat the rarest of meat only for its popularity We’re all fakes if you look at it this way I can say that without my ego getting in the way
